Our most popular, fun, and successful fundraisers so far have been our Westie events, such as the Westie Walks held in various locations through the country since 2000. In 2002, we added another fun event called the Westie Highland Games in Edmonton.

WRC have and will continue to hold events in AB, ON and NS, and hopefully other provinces in the future. In 2006, the official Westie Rescue of Canada Toronto Westie Walk returned on Sunday, September 17, with great success! This year, another walk in Ontario has been added - the 1st Annual WRC Ottawa Westie Walk. For details of the Westie Walks please see below.

Last year, the Toronto Westie Walk exceeded our expectations! There were 102 Westies, and it was our most successful walk in Canada since we starting holding the Westie Walk and Westie Highland Games fundraisers.

In addition, other groups and individuals hold events and donate the proceeds to WRC.
